Tetsukabuto
A Japanese heirloom that makes the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had. Very versatile, meaning it’s good baked, steamed, fried, boiled, and stores very well. Blackish bumpy ball, with great twisted stems. Extremely rare. I could have been the North American handler of this Japanese seed back in the late ‘90’s; however, I was too young to realize its potential. If I had to do it over again, I would jump at the chance.
Cucurbita cross; 100 days
